DRV8935: Request for Schematic Review

Part Number: DRV8935

Tool/software:

Dear TI support team,

I would like to request your assistance in reviewing the schematic for the design to ensure it is implemented correctly.

Thanks!

  • Hi Tom,

Thanks for reaching out to us via this forum.

Overall, the schematic looks good. Change the nFAULT pullup R74 to 10 kΩ. C58 may have to be increased depending on the motor current setting based on VREF voltage. What is the load, is it a bipolar stepper or a 5-wire unipolar stepper? It is is 5-wire unipolar the common must be connected to 24_MOTOR rail. If bipolar no action for motor connections. TOFF = GND means 7 us setting. This may be too small. Typical value used commonly is 16 us, TOFF pin = 1. C62 to C65 can be 2.2 nF typical. Of course, no issues with 100 pF.

    Regards, Murugavel
