Hello,

The customer uses MCF8329A to control a brushless motor with a power of 300W and a 48V voltage drive. There are the following questions that need to be consulted. Please help analyze or provide good suggestions.

Question 1: Which startup method is better? Currently using IPD.

Question 2: Always reporting faults during acceleration phase after startup.

Question 3: How to debug on load startup?

Question 4: When driving a brushless motor, is it better to use the ladder control chip MCT8329 or MCF8329? Which is more suitable?

    Both devices can be used to drive a brushless motor. MCT8329A has a trapezoidal control integrated into the motor and MCF8329A has an FOC control.

    MCT8329A can be used in applications where there is a high speed requirement whereas MCF8329A is ideal for silent and efficient operation but is limited in maximum speed it can drive compared to the MCT8329A
