Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LAUNCHXL-F280049C, DRV8300, AFE031
Tool/software:
Sir,
This is in continuation of the thread title "Hall sensor based driver card development for high power BLDC motor"
Please let us recollect :
I am working with high power BLDC motor development and have purchased DRV8300DPW-Q1EVM development board along with LAUNCHXL-F280049C from TI.
Using the PC software DRV8300-EVM-GUI 1.0.3, I have successfully been able to start a sensored BLDC motor (with my existing set-up). The motor is running with 100% duty cycle and achieved more than 2000 rpm at no load but when I apply mechanical load to the shaft of the motor, the rpm falls to 1500 rpm which is not allowed in my application. The power supply is 12V lead-acid battery of capacity 180AH. The supply cable is of 4 sqmm diameter.
In GUI software I set duty cycle as 100% and overcurrent limit is set maximum at 25A.
We discussed that to increase the motor speed in loaded condition, PWM frequency is to be increased. For that I downloaded "DRV8300EVM-SENSORED-TRAP-FW — DRV8300EVM sensored trapezoidal firmware" and installed "Code Composer Studio"
Now please guide me what part of the program may be modified to increase the rpm.
Thanks & Regards
Abhijit
