Hi team,

My cuatomer use MCF8329EVM to do some test.

The product is Pump and spec is 48V@400W

But some question below,

1. The fan does not start smoothly, it makes a clicking sound and starts intermittently before starting again.

2. The startup current is about 2A. Is this normal? Can it be limited through the GUI?

3. IC working temp around 55C, Its no load condition. Is this normal?

4. Customer wants use the device to design 2.2KW. Can work?

Hi Jimmy,

Please find my responses below:

1. What is the startup method you are using?

2. Yes, reduce your open loop acceleration and current limit settings.

3. What is the state of the device? Is it driving the motor?

4. Yes should work. Please choose the MOSFETs accordingly.

1. You means align, double align, IPD ,slow, one of them? Customer tries every way. all the same result.
