ULC1001-DRV2911EVM: Heating and cooling mechanism of LCS

Hi TI team,

Can you please explain how heating and cooling of LCS can be achieved? How a heating burst generates heat, and melts deice over the lens cover?

Does the LCS be idle without vibration for specified duration of cooling cycle or any special burst for cooling while the overtemperature threshold is detected by the temperature detect burst (Burst#23)?

  • Hi Selvaganapathi, 

    The heating is achieved by heating up the piezo. The heat will transfer from the piezo to lens since they are glued together.

    For cooling, the LCS would be idle without vibration for specified duration. No special burst for cooling.
