When considering RPROPI values from DRV8243-Q1EVM, the ITRIP values will be in microamperes (µA). For a motor load current requirement of 3A, calculation using the maximum VTRIP value resulted in a very low RPROPI value. However, the recommended resistor value range is between 500 and 5000 ohms. Could you please help me for selecting RPROPI value for a 3A load output?

VITRIP 2.97 V
RIPROPI  470 ohm

    Thank you for your question.

    Here is example for 3A and RIPOPI =1Kohm

    V_IPROPI =  (3A / AIPROPI ) * 1Kohm

                     =   0.975 x 10^-3 * 1Kohm

                     =  0.975V

    If you pick 2Kohm, V_IRPOPI  = 1.95V
