DRV8328: What does the VDSLVL do and how do i disable it? And Nsleep question.

I am very soon finished with my design but i am wondering how i would disable the overcurrent protection? I don't think i need it for my project since the firmware AM32 already has the protection needed.

And the second question i have is if i should just wire Nsleep to voltage in (about 25v) to keep the chip awake and operating?

Hey Tim,

To disable VDS OCP you need to tie VDSLVL pin to GVDD with a 100k resistor.

You can have nsleep be pulled high abs max for nSleep is 65V.

Usually VDS trip level is set to catch hard short conditions and is set to a higher value than your max switching current value nd is meant oto serve as a protection system.

And usually nsleep is tied to MCU pin to control when the device is awake and asleep.
