Customer use DRV8242H-Q1, for DIAG pin, they set Retry mode, schematic is as:
But the test wave shows the nFault pin(Green channel) has some wrong de-asserted which is not align with DS:
Could you help to analyze why? Is there some wrong in their design?

I check our bench data. Then nFALT signal is same as datasheet's description. It is not different from your description.
Any chance DRVOFF, nSLEEP toggling? Any change VM has some drop?

About your test wave, what is the current (c1) from? Is this VM pin’s current? Why the current is from 0 to negative value?
About customer’s test, there is no issue from DRVOFF, nSLEEP and VM.
Could you help to do more analyze? The time between the two toggle of nFault is same with tRETRY, so, it seems these toggle are still from Retry setting, not from Nsleep reset pauls(Latch setting)
