My scenario is during slow down of vehicle throttle MOSFET get shorted due to the overvoltage how to prevent it using snubber or any other method

Hi Karunakaran,

Are the GDIC pins correctly protected using the recommended RC circuits?

Is the MOSFET itself being short circuited? I recommend referencing the datasheet sections on the DESAT/SC/OC protections (Sections 6.3.5.7 & 6.3.5.8).

I also recommend looking into the datasheet section on two-level soft turn off for some guidance on how to use the 2STO feature to decrease the voltage overshoot in these kinds of scenarios (Section 6.3.2.7).
