DRV2510-Q1: current overload fault with open circuit

Hello,

I had two questions:
1) We are using the DRV2510 and have an LC filter at the output.

When we enable the DRV2510 we immediately get an over-current fault, even with no load at the output of the filter network.
With reference to the diagram below, our value of L1 is 10uH and our value of C7 is 100uF.

Can you please explain why we are getting an over-current fault?

2) Is there a way to disable the over-current and dc offset faults?

For clarity in our design L2=L1 = 10uH and C7 = C8 = 100uF

Hi Mark,

You are using 100uF caps here? I think this is way too high. I think the cap should be <10uF. It may be that during the diagnostic period, charging these large capacitors is causing the OC to trip.

There is no way to disable OC protection here. I do see that DC Detect is in the datasheet, but not in the electrical spec table. I thought DC Detect was already disabled in this device.
