DRV8300-Q1: Would like to disable deadtime and cross-conduction prevention

You cannot disable deadtime in this device.

Can you tell me what is the motor voltage for your application to recommend device that could work?

Thank you so much for the support. The motor voltage is around 100V. The application is diesel engine ECU which controls the six-cylinder engine.

We recommend using 1.5-2x motor voltage rated driver (based on transients) for your applications. For ex. 24V apps use 60V drivers and 48V driver's use 100V drivers. Usually automotive applications are running on 48V systems, so I want to confirm if you mean 100V rated driver vs 100V on Vdrain of the motor driver.

Among our 100V drivers we have DRV8363-Q1 (just APL'd) if has independent mode where shoot through protection is disabled.

Hi Akshay,

I have scanned the preliminary datasheet of DRV8363-Q1, and found out that it is possible to turn high side FET and low side FET on when shoot-through protection fault status(SPT_PLT) is disabled.
