DRV11873EVM: DRV11873EVM Fails to Start 912-101 Brushless Vibration Motor

Tool/software:

I'm currently using the DRV11873EVM evaluation board to drive a brushless vibration motor:
Model No. 912-101, 12mm Brushless Vibration Motor – 15mm Type
12mm Brushless Vibration Motor - 15mm Type - Precision Microdrives

With the motor connected to the board, on power-up the motor pulses 3–4 times, then pauses for about 10 seconds, and repeats this cycle indefinitely without ever achieving a successful startup.

I've checked wiring and connections, and everything appears correct. I'm wondering if this behavior is due to:

• Motor startup parameters not matching the DRV11873EVM's default configuration

• Inadequate starting torque or load detection issues

• Commutation or timing incompatibilities

Any insight into what might be causing this issue or what configuration changes I can make to achieve proper start-up would be appreciated.
