Hi Fabio,

Thanks for your post. Could you please share information about the type of motor, operating voltage, current and end application. Are you looking for stall detection? Is it BDC motor or stepper motor? The EVM software code can be downloaded from the EVM webpage, https://www.ti.com/tool/DRV8848EVM.

It is used for stepper motor. They want to achieve Motor stall detection and speed anomaly detection.

Hi Fabio,

The following devices can support stall detection for stepper motors. DRV8889-Q1, DRV8434S, DRV8434A, DRV8452S, DRV8461 and DRV8462. The DRV8848 does not support stepper motor stall detection. Speed anomaly cannot be detected with open loop stepper drivers. Thank you.
