Tool/software:

We are using DRV3946-Q1 for driving DC contactor. we require drive current of 2.1A. Could any one let us know whether the DRV3946-Q1 maximum drive current.

    Hi Shankar,

    Thanks for the question.

    The capability of DRV3946 will depend on board layout and current peak timings. While the device can support >8A at 100ms , at a DC level it can support >2.2A.

    These are done with the thermal impedance calculations .
