I received the MCF8329RRYEVM Dev kit with the MCF8329A-Q1 chip and was hoping to get an OTS motor up and running however I was having trouble while using the Motor Studio GUI. I seem to be getting faults like MPET_BEMF_Fault and CONTROLLER_Fault and have taken the necessary steps in the tuning guide to fix the problem, however the motor still doesn't seem to be working. I increased the current reference and reduce the slew rate under the Motor Parameters section as suggested but no luck. I measured my Motor BEMF constant and inputted that number as well. After manually clearing the errors it seems to sometimes move past the errors and goes into MPET but does not update any of the results. I have the motor (D4215 Brushless DC Motor) connected to 18V and when in the algorithm state of MOTOR_CLOSED_LOOP_ALIGNED it only draws 0.1-0.2A and does not turn. I have been tuning various parameters all leading to the same operation of drawing very little current and not moving. I was hoping to get some assistance on how to get this up and running. I am using the Dev kit to understand the tuning needed for the MCF8329A-Q1 before i fab my own board with the chip. Thanks in advance!
