How can i edit the GUI so that i can have multiple driver connections to the application at a time

    Hi Michelle,

    Thanks for your question.

    When an EVM is plugged in to a computer, it will create an unique COMx for each EVM that's plugged in. In the GUI you can select which EVM you'd want to connect to and control using the Options > Serial Port menu and choose a COMx that corresponds to a desired DRV8434AEVM. Only one instance of the DRV8434AEVM can connect to a GUI app at a time. 

    If you have a desktop app running in your computer with one DRV8434AEVM, you can use the cloud GUI (requires myTI login) to connect to a second DRV8434AEVM in the same computer by manually choosing the COMx like mentioned above. More than these two simultaneous GUI operation is not possible. Thank you.

    Hi Michelle,

    This function allows different devices EVMs to be supported by the same GUI (not specifically the DRV8434A GUI). For example the DRV84xx GUI which supports three different types of EVM HW, https://dev.ti.com/gallery/view/MotorDriversBSM/DRV84xx/ver/0.0.9/. That widget is not for multi connection. We're not able to provide any additional information other than this for GUI Composer projects for EVM GUI. Thank you.
