Have a good day! I have 2 questions about DRV8874-Q1:

1.Does DRV8874-Q1 have Transient Thermal Impedance & Current Capability table? Just as DRV8245-Q1:

2. DRV8874-Q1’s IOUT peak current is 6A. Can it be used in 3A continues current out with PWM?

    1. The DRV8874-Q1 does not have a Transient Thermal Impedance and Current Capability table. Instead, the thermal performance is specified using the standard thermal metrics.

    2. Yes, the DRV8874-Q1 can support 3A continuous current in PWM mode. The device is rated for 6A peak output current. The internal current regulation and thermal protection supports continuous current below the peak current threshold. The following section in the datasheet can be used to calculate total power dissipation, account for switching losses, conduction losses, and determine whether your board layout can thermal support the continuous current operation.
