DRV3201-Q1: Part confirmation

Part Number: DRV3201-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi TI team,

P/N:DRV3201QPAPRQ1

We have 2 questions regarding this P/N

1.Does the chip contain soft terminal capacitors? If yes, is there potential to remove the capacitor?

2.Does the chip itself include conformal coating? Can it be removed?

Please advise, thank you.

    Hi Grace,

    Thank you for your question! DRV3201 is an older device and we have much newer automotive safety devices available. I would recommend looking into the DRV3245 (2nd generation 12V part) or the DRV3233 (newest generation 12V-24V part).

    Currently customer is only looking into the existing part information only. Could you please provide the answers of my 2 questions?

    1.Does the chip contain soft terminal capacitors? If yes, is there potential to remove the capacitor?

    Hi Grace,

    1. The DRV3201 requires external bypass and bulk capacitors to be placed around the device. It is recommended to use X7R ceramic capacitors.

    2. The chip itself doesn't include conformal coating.
