Hello Everybody, I am planning to build a custom board using MCT8329A gate driver. How can I program MCT8329A? Can I use MCT8329A-GUI tool? Is that GUI tool only for MCT8329EVM Evaluation Board? Do I need a microcontroller to program MCT8329A? I am also planning to buy MCT8329EVM before I design a custom board. Could you please give me detailed information about how I can design a custom board and drive a motor using MCT8329A . Thank you.

    Hi Murat,

    1. You can use the MCT8329A GUI to program the device.

    2. Yes, MCT8329A-GUI tool only supports MCT8329A device

    3. You need external microcontroller to program the MCT8329A EEPROM memory. MCT8329A-EVM comes with onboard EEPROM programming controller, you can use EVM board microcontroller to program your custom board MCT8329A EEPROM memory.

    4. EVM design files are available in the EVM product page here. you can use the EVM schematic and design guidelines provided in the device datasheet as a reference for designing a custom board. you can share the custom board schematic for review.
