MCF8316A: About BRAKE's pull low location.

Hi team,

I have 2 question with MCF8316A

1. I suggest the Brake pin connect AGND via 10K to customer, but the datasheet indicates connecting PGND via 10K if do not used. What is different?

2. If the power buck in the EVM is in resistor mode, the resistor size is 2512. If I don't have a load on this power buck, can I use a 0603 resistor?

Hi Jimmy Wang,

1. In the MCF8316C data sheet it is mentioned as AGND, can you confirm if the device is MCF8316A or MCF8316C? We recommend to use MCF8316C.

2. Resistor need should be 2512 1W, this should support both load current (VM-VBK)* IBK and I2R loss due to buck closed loop current of 150mA.

another question is 22R and 47nF in resistor mode of DCDC can be changed ? Because customer reply not popular value in their stoke.
Is some calculate to identify?
