MCF8329EVM: SmartTune Fail and PCB Rev Change

Part Number: MCF8329EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MCF8329A

Tool/software:

First off. My PCB looks different than in the instructions. I can't find SW1, and some other minor differences. It says MD098A-001 on it. Not sure if this is the root cause of the next issue.

Assuming the missing components on my PCB can be omitted, I try to begin with SmartTune. The display is grey, inactive. I eventually get a CONTROLLER_FAULT and an MPET_BEMF_FAULT.

The bus voltage is about 24V. Here's the specs on the motor connected to the EVB:

Thanks!
