Hi 

My customer's application is for a 15.6" monitor related to medical applications. Please recommend a suitable Haptic IC. Currently, the entire display needs to be oscillating.

    Hi Gareth, 

    I think for a monitor of this size either multiple DRV2605L devices and multiple LRA/ERM haptic motors can be used. multiple Haptic motors can be triggered simultaneously through external hardware trigger.

    the DRV2605L comes with a few benefits. since it has an internal waveform memory with a library of 123 haptic effects it can be very simple to find the effect which meet the requirements

    Alternately a high power driver like DRV2510 can be used. with a much larger single solenoid it can likely create the necessary haptic effect in the display 

    Since DRV25010 is an analog input device you will also need some external DAC to create the waveform. even DRV2605L could be used as the driver for DRV2510.
