DRV8376: The Vin issue for DRV8376

Hi,

We consider to use the DRV8376 in our motor driver project, and now, we has no idea the Vin logic input voltage because there are no description in datasheet,

can you explain the device design principlefor the Vin voltage? and how to get the 5.5V max. voltage from the Vvm(24VDC)? Thanks.

Hey Zhang,

The supply input is called VM and the logic pin voltage is called Vin. You can find their allowed voltage ranges in the table attached below from the datasheet.

Vin can be from your MCU for your logic pins.

So you mean the Vin is from the extend( Like the MCU or IO), and it is not the Internal power conversion from the Vvm?

Hey Zhang,

Yes, the Vin is the input your are supplying to the pins listed in the table like (DRVoff, INHx etc).
