Can you please tell me if the protection features in the DRV8703-Q1's datasheet in chapter '7.3.14 Protection Circuits' are the same for the H bridge mode as well for the independent half bridge mode?

Are there limitiations with any safety features while using the independent half bridge mode?

    Hi team,

    I got an additional question to this topic. Can you also please comment how is the current sense performed in the independent half bridge mode? Can the device sense both motor currents independently or does it sense the total current through both motors?

    Hi Felix,

    Thank you for your questions. You are positing to public E2E, not internal E2E.

    Could you provide your customer's name and application use case(e.g automotive seat position control)? If needed, please switch to internal E2E.

    DRV8703-Q1 is old gen device and new gen DRV8705S-Q1 was released ~5years ago. For new platform of customer, we recommend DRV8705S-Q1. it is better in functionality and device cost.
