I have been using the MCF8316C and I am considering jumping to the MCF8316D, looking at the datasheet it seems like the main difference is the D variant offers more control methods including field weakening and a higher PWM frequency for the driver mosfets (100kHz vs 60kHz) along with more tuning options. Are there any other major improvements or changes from the C -> D that I missed, id assume this is more or less a drop in upgrade.
Also, when I switch from C to D is there a way to update the config file that I have currently for the C variant.
