Is the torque of a full step the same as that of a 1/32 microstep?

    The torque of a stepper motor is directly proportional to the motor current. Maximum torque is achieved when the motor is operating in full-step mode with two phases at their rated current. However, in microstepping mode, the instantaneous torque at each step is dependent on the current value per phase, as defined in Table 7-3. Notably, during microstepping, the maximum achievable torque is approximately 70% of the full-step torque with rated current.
