If customer do not do SPI communication with DRV8363, is it correct that the gate current is fixed at reset 0h as said in DS below?
Customer would like to know if it is possible to adjust the gate current without SPI communication by adding an external resistor to the gate line.

Yes, after a power up the Idrive settings will be at the default value. You will need to use SPI to adjust them on the fly. Otherwise you can use gate resistors to adjust the rise and fall times as seen below:
May i know why SPI communication cannot be used? This device has a lot of features and settings over SPI so wanted to know why the customer will not be able to take advantage of them.
We have a few hardware controlled devices which might be what they need if they don't wish to use SPI.
