From looking at past posts from 2011, there apparently was a supply problem with this chip. I'm working on a new design and am in need of a few pieces immediately. None of the distributors have any on hand, and are estimating they won't be available until June/2012. Is there still a supply problem (related to last year's problems), or is there another reason for them not being available?

These are readily available in our "free sample" program. Go to the following link and scroll down to "sample or buy". Click on the button to the right on the first row and it will take you to another page where you can click for free samples.

We should have a lot of material freeing up end of this month - we are just about to complete qualification of a new A/T site for this device. With the increased supply, I plan to promote it (and the DRV8830) heavily in 1Q.

End of this month, we should also have the DRC package option released (3 x 3 WSON package)

What is the end application?

I've just ordered samples, but they aren't expected to be available until March 12,2012.

I finally got to the bottom of this. Please click on the "DGQR" option (2nd row under sample or buy). Add those "free samples" to your cart and they will ship immediately.
