DRV8812 1-2 and W1-2 phase excitation

Our customer is studying DRV8812EVM for their new scanner products.

They want to control the motor with 1-2 &  W1-2 phase excitation.

But DRV8812EVM seems to be not able to support these mode.

 

I want to know whether DRV8812EVM and DRV8812 device can support 1-2 & W1-2 phase excitation.

If it can do that, please let me know how to do it.

    Hi Takahashi-san,

    The DRV8812 should be able to supply these excitation style waveforms either by using the AIx bits or by modulating VREF.

    The DRV8812EVM currently does not have the option to supply these waveforms as it is hard coded to use 16 degrees of microstepping. We are writing an App Note in which the user will be able to reflash the EVM and use a different GUI to explore up to 512 degrees of microstepping. Quad degrees of microstepping will be included as one of the modes.
