My customer need MCF8315 similar function solutions but they need SPI interface, so may I know any suggestion so far?

Hi Paul,

Only I2C support is available at this time.

Could you please provide details on the EE requirements and criticality of SPI? Would it be possible to accomplish this using I2C instead?

Venkatadri,

Customer plan to use in Robo system, so they need high speed interface. SPI is the one they wanted.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for sharing the EE details.

However, the MCF8315C does complete motor control and enables remote edge functionality. For just commanding and status viewing, is I2C with 400kHz bandwidth not sufficient?

Is it for the hand (multiple motors)?
