Part Number: DRV8311
- Datasheet states SDO output current is 1 micro ampere. This is physically impossible given the actual maximum output data rate of 10 MHz. (DRV8311 SLVSFN2B – SEPTEMBER 2021 – REVISED FEBRUARY 2022).
- We have reached out to TI more than a month ago to report this error with no response. The datasheet has not been updated in almost 4 years.
- Datasheet states tSPI parity check is off by default.
- On every one of our DRV8311P checked, SYS_CTRL register at bootup is 0x0008, indicating parity control is enabled.
- There is no description of what causes the SPI frame error (FRM_ERR). We have a device which shows this bit set.
- Datasheet contains no details whatsoever about the OTP capability of the device. There is OTP_FLT register; what OTP does it refer to?
- Datasheet does not contain details about which bits correspond to which parity check, or even what the formula for calculating the parity is.
