LM48823: LM48823 resistor value

Part Number: LM48823

Dear support,

As per attached screenshot it's not clear what the correct capacitor values are?
BOM states 1uF  tantalum, Schematic 0.47uF (polarized) ?

On a side note this chip has pretty awesome specs but I'm having a really hard time working with it because of the bga 0.5 package. Hopefully my next attempt is more succesfull.

The datasheet also refers to an EVAL board LM48823TLEVAL which seems non existant.

  • Hi Lode,

The input capacitor value can be set according to the required cutoff frequency of the high-pass filter formed by this capacitor and the input resistance, given by the gain. This is mentioned in "Input Capacitor Selection" section on page 13 of the data sheet.
Either 1uF or 0.47uF is OK. Tantalum caps have polarity, in case using any type of polarized capacitor the positive side of the cap should connect to the device input pins.

Unfortunately, as you noticed the evaluation module is no longer available due to age of this device, most likely some component in the kit was no longer available.

    Best regards,
