DRV8849: LV8044LP replacement

Hi Sir,

My customer is looking for a dual stepper motor driver solution to replace the LV8044LP.pdf.
A key requirement for this application is that the motor power supply voltage (VM) must support a minimum of 3.3V.
Please provide your recommendations if there are any suitable ICs for this application.

    Hi Henry,

    Thanks for your post. See here the list of drivers in our portfolio that could be used to drive stepper motors with minimum of 3.3 V VM supply voltage. All these are dual full-bridges, they can driver one stepper motor or two brushed DC motors. We do not have an exact equivalent of the mentioned LVxx device. The DRV8849 dual-stepper driver requires a minimum 4.5 V for operation.
