I am seeking some guidance using the CPG004 RC - DRV88xx GUI.
Thanks

Hi Thai,
Can you give us some more details as to what kind of guidance you are looking for? Which one of the CPG004 family of devices are you trying to interface with?
Best regards,
Jose Quinones
Hi Jose. Thank you for your help. I am useing the DRV8802/12/13/14/24/25/41 CPG004 Rev B evaluation board.
I have connected my brush DC motor 2 wires to the AOUT1 and AOUT2. The two wires from the 20VDC supply are connected to pins VM and GND. I have my meter on J3 pins A+ and A-. I have tried all panel on the CPG004 DRV88xx EVM but see no change on the meter. Please tune me in on the GUI usage.
Hi Thai,
From all of those devices (DRV8801, DRV8812, DRV8813, DRV8814, DRV8424, DRV8825, DRV8841 and DRV8843) which one is on your board? This will detemine how to control the motor, as they all have their subtle differences. Except DRV8824 and DRV8825 which are completely different as they are tailored for stepper motors, not brushed DC.
For the H Bridge to come up, you need the following signal states as detailed on the respective device's datasheet.
nSLEEP must be HI
nRESET must be HI
AIx and BIx must be LO
VREF must be different than zero
ENABLE must be HI
On the GUI, a checked check box means HI and an unchecked check box means LO.
Other things to check:
Is the VCP pin 10V above VM?
Do you see the nFAULT LED lighting up?
Let me know if you are still experiencing issues after trying this suggestions.
Best regards,
Jose Quinones
I can not really tell. the device type. The marking on the U1 is as follow:
EUR2OP (The number 2 is the best I can guess at it. It does look like a letter S backward)
OCTC
ALHL
Can you tell the device type from that?
I will verify others as you suggest.
