DRV8701: DRV8701 with a higher Source/sink Current

Hello

I am looking for a DC‑motor driver similar to the DRV8701 but with a much higher source/sink capability. The DRV8701 can only handle about 150 mA, and I need a device that can deliver roughly 1 A. Could you recommend any suitable alternatives?

Hi,

If you need to drive 1A motor (voltage up to ~45V), DRV8251 or DRV8870 could be recommended.

I’m looking a DC‑motor driver that can serve as a gate‑driver for an external MOSFET capable of handling very high source currents. Specifically, I need a driver that can reliably drive the gate of an IRFP4368PbF (6.5 µC total gate charge, 10‑12 V Vgs, 200 A rating)

Thank you for clarifying details. DRV8770 could be product we can suggest from our DRV/Motor driver product group. DRV8770 has 750mA source/1.5A sink.

Appreciated if you can share your end application (e.g medical bed reclining motor). Your DC motor use case requires higher motor current than normally we see.
