What is the maximum allowable current that can be driven through the nFAULT (open drain) input? Can, for example, an LED with a current of 20 mA be operated with it?

Hi Wouter,

No, an LED cannot be directly driven from the nFAULT pin with a current of 20mA. The max output voltage on this pin is tested with a max of 5mA. It is not recommended to drive an LED from the nFAULT pin.

Hi Wouter,

When a fault is triggered the nFAULT pin goes low and VCC supplies power for LED.
