Hello,
I wanted to inquire about DRV8161 Configurable Dead time. The information provided in Application Brief SBAA698A (Understanding Gate Driver) shows that DRV8161 has no Configurable Dead Time which contradicts the data sheet. Can you please clarify if DRV8161 supports Open Loop Dead Time or Closed Loop Dead Time or Both? Thanks in advance for the help, Mostafa

based on drv8161, it looks that the driver support both open loop and closed loop (Vgs handshake) dead time insertion modes. can you please confirm? Thx

Actually, it has both open loop and closed loop insertion.
Open loop by default (input referred),
but a VGS handshake mode can be entered by setting the IDRIVE resistor settings here:
