Part Number: DRV8870

We have an electronic board developed a few years ago that uses the DRV8870DDAR component. The old boards have not shown any issues. However, during a new production run, the new boards are not working correctly. It seems the output is more current-limited. On the new boards, the VREF voltage and the resistor on ISEN are identical to those on the old boards.
I replaced the DRV8870 component with an identical one from our stock. It is the same part number but from an older batch. The board now works correctly.
Is there a difference between a component from the old batch (see photo "DRV8870_old":8870 ; TI 23A; P2J56A) that works properly and the new reference (see photo "DRV8870_new":8870 ; TI 58M; AD44)?
