DRV8312 Example Code and CCSv4 Compatibility

I just got the DRV8312 kit and installed the latest controlSuite, but when I imported the PM_Sensorless (FOC) project into CCSv4 and tried to build it, there was an error saying "This project was created using a version of Code Generation tools that is not currently installed: 5.2.10 [C2000]. Please install the Code Generation tools of this version, or migrate the project to one of the supported versions. ". I don't have CCSv5, so would anyone please suggest how to solve this issue?

Have you used the C2000 compiler on CCSv4 before? If it is not installed, then you won't be able to build the project. The easy way around this error may be to install the version of CCS found on the flash drive that came with the DRV8312EVM. That should come with the necessary C2000 files.

Did you install CCS recently, or has it been on your computer for a while?

May I ask why you are trying to build this project?

Matt, I have been using it for a while with F28335. I tried to build the project so as to follow the incremental built process and get better understanding the sensorless FOC project.

I have two suggestions:

1) If you download and install CCSv5.1, you can eliminate this compatibility issue.

2) You can create your own CCSv4 project and import the individual source files (.c, .h, etc).

Problem has been solved. I reinstalled CCS and the ControSUITE and the problem is gone. Thanks.
