DRV8836 POWER

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8836

HI,

Today, I have a test on the DRV8836.Accordting to the recommanded circuit by the datasheet.

However, as the test show  in the picture. The power become so poor, with a 1V  impluse.

As the MCU share the same power with the DRV8836, it can't work.

I wonder how can I optimize the power design for both the MCU and DRV8836.

  • Hi Jackmon,

What capacitance do you have on VCC? This noise looks like commutation noise caused by the DC motor, so chances are you will need to add filtering to the DC motor to clean up its response to the system. Do you have any filtering at the moment in between the power outputs and the DC motor?

  • HI Jose,

I have a 10uF eletrolytic capacitance and 0.1uF ceramic capacitance on the VCC without no more filtering. Still, it works poor. Then, I have one more 0.1 uF capacitance on the motor, uselsess. Waiting for more solutions.
