DRV8432 Heatsink spacing

Team,

I am wondering about the tolerances to mount a heatsink on the DRV8432 to get max thermal performance.

http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/drv8432.pdf

On page 28 of the pdf we get the physical dimensions for the thickness of the part.

Adding up the max tolerances we get 3.6mm + 0.3 mm + 0.15mm = 4.05 mm

Adding up the min tolerances we get 3.1mm + 0.1 mm + 0.15mm = 3.35 mm

0.7 mm tolerance seems kind of big.

I went with a 4 mm standoff and can see daylight between the parts all day long.

The eval uses a 1/8 in spacer (3.17 mm). I would think this would crush a 4.0mm part.

Have you seen this issue and can you get some help suggesting a spacer?

Thanks Team in advance, I appreciate the help here.
