Hello,

depending on the application there is the option to use the DRV8312 as an integrated three phase motor driver or the DRV8301 with external FETS to drive the same motor. Is there an equivalent to the DRV8432 – a dual (or single) full bridge pre driver?

Kristin,

The DRV8301 can be used to drive a single full bridge. One of the channels is just not used. For dual, we do not have a pre-driver at the moment that covers that case.

Hi Andy,

The best way is to connect PWM_C, PWM_D, RESET_CD to a logic low. It is preferred to connect these signals to AGND. GVDD_C and GVDD_D should be connected to GVDD. GND_C and GND_D should be connected to GND. PVDD_C, PVDD_D, BST_C, BST_D, OUT_C and OUT_D can be left floating.

Have you considered using the DRV8412 in parallel mode? This will provide approximately the same ratings as one full bridge of the DRV8432. To use the device in parallel mode, please refer to Figure 9 of the datasheet. In parallel mode, OC latching shutdown is not available.
