DRV8301/DRV8302 for Automotive Application??

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8301

Hello;

        I wanat to use DRV8301/02 for automotive BLDC Motor Driver Application. Is this I.C. AECQ qualified? If not will it be qualified in near future. My battery voltage is UPTO 36V and max transient voltage upto 60V. Please let me know if I can use the I.C. for the same.

  • Amey,

    There is a plan to qualify the device for automotive per the AEC-Q100 specifications.  Temperature range will be up the existing device which is 125C ambient and 150C junction.

    Time line is looking like 3Q of this year as best case.  As long as the transient PVDD voltage does not exceed 60V, the device will be fine for your use.
