DRV8801 in parallel for TEC drive

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8801

Hello -

I am looking at using a couple of the DRV8801's in parallel (a'la SLVA320) to drive a Peltier TEC at about 4 A max, 0.5 A typical (I use the chips in other parts of my design so have them already). To help control inductor size and manage capacitor ripple current, I would like to operate the PWM at the highest frequency I can. My PWM controller will run to ~24 kHz with the resolution I need. The DRV8801 data sheet is a little scanty on timing specs - we have propagation delays and crossover delays but not switching times, and the app note SLVA320 is silent on timing.

So two questions really - will I run into timing issues running prallel chips at ~24 kHz and how can I determine the power dissipation in the chips?

Thanks a lot
