How to measure Vibration of a DC Motor?

Hi there,

I want to measure and record 'vibration' of a DC (3V) Vibrating motor, which driving by an 'inconstant' signal. Imagine the DC gently tied on an object and i want to measure and record the 'vibration' which the DC motor apply on the object.

Could anyone advice me in this?

    Might have to rely on someone else in the community that works with vibrating motors in mobile phones as this is the closest application I can think of to what you want to do. 

    Some sort of an acoustic measurement setup that would give you a relative measurement at different motor speeds or a laser measurement system that would give you a delta position are the only ideas I have.
