DRV8802 CP1, CP2, VCP

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8802

Hi,

Is there any voltage specifications for CP1, CP2, VCP on DRV8802?

On the datasheet p.3, it is recommended to use 50V capacitor between CP1 and CP2, and 16V capacitor at VCP, but I'd like to know specified voltage range at CP1, CP2 and VCP.

Best Regards,

  • Hi Hide

Are you concern about the cap voltage of VCP and CPx?

The voltage relationship of those pins are always like below.

CP2-CP1 < (VM+delta) < 50V (for DRV8802) ;   delta value is 1~5V according to VM. within the recommended range and the higher VM, the lower delta.

VCP-VM < 15V    at full recommended VM range.

So, following the DS parameter or using higher ratings will not cause any problem.

    Thanks,

    Wilson

  • Hi Wilson,

Yes, I concern about the cap voltage of VCP and CPx.

Thank you for the kindly explanation.
