NEMA17 BLDC/PMSM 55W Motor

This is a surface mount synchronous motor, which could best be described as a BLDC machine, though it has a sinusoidal Bemf.

It is manufactured by Anaheim Automation or Telco, depending on date.

It is rated for 4K RPM, but can do quite a bit more unloaded, and even more with field weakening. It's the motor I use in this demo video of the InstaSPIN-FOC GUI.

Here are the general parameters, these are all line to neutral.

BTW - it is a bit more rare to find an actual PM motor available off the shelf, if by PM you mean rare earth and not magentized iron.

Most BLDC motors actually have sinusoidal Bemf and sinewave/pseudo-sinewave SVPWM techniques work quite well on them.

I am building a controller in Simulink for the BLDC motor (DT4260-24-055-04) of the DRV8312EVM kit.

For the simulink block of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine, I need to know the following parameters:

Inertia, friction factor and pole pairs [ J(kg.m^2) F(N.m.s) p() ].

I fill in these parameters with the value of [0.68e-3, 1e-3,  4 ] .

But I am not sure about if the Inertia and friction factor are correct or not.

Could anyone please check them for me.

Do you have any documentation on the Telco motors? I recently purchased a DRV8312EVM and I can't get a hold of a datasheet on the motor. I went as far as to contact the company directly but are giving me a hard time. the model number for the motor I have is DT4260-24-055-04.

I have a DT4260-24-055-04H-PT, produced by telco. I'm tying to get information on whether or not this motor can be used for PMSM operation. In particular i want to know if the Bemf is sinusoidal and can this motor be driven as a PMSM.

yes, it's sinusoidal and should be treated as PMSM
