DRV8301 : No PWM output

Hi,

I have DRV8301 turned on with +20V or +30V. I have input PWM into DRV8301, but no PWM are observed. Error reporting n-Fault and n-OTW are always kept high when EN_GATE goes to high from low or to low from high. Besides, I check GVDD and it's 0V. Maybe no GVDD can explain why no PWM output. So I doubt this DRV8301 is broken. Do you have any comment for this issue? Thanks!

Could you check first whether the PowerPAD of DRV8301 is well soldered to the GND plane? As the PowerPAD is the GND PIN as well as the thermal PAD.

Hi Wilson,

Our DRV8301 board can work well one day ago. So I do not think it's the PowerPAD soldering issue. Do you have any idea to verify if DRV8301 is broken? Thanks!

I wonder what happened after one day ago. So you are now have no idea about this parts whether dead or alive?

I think the beside checking every functions section by section, you can also just change a new parts to have the comparison.

If still not sure, please help to post your schematic here and application conditions for us to do look into.
