The DRV8301-HC-C2-KIT, http://www.ti.com/tool/drv8301-hc-c2-kit?DCMP=gma_tra_drv32x_en&HQS=drv8301evm-pr, will be your best bet. There are a variety of example projects located in controlSUITE. This part only supports up to 60V though.

Hecules should be used if you know you are going to need to satisfy ISO26262 standards or need similar levels of redundancy and checking.

In transportation C2000 can be used in non ISO26262 applications when system safety is satisfied in some other manner (checker MCU, etc).  C2000 is used in many on-road vehicles, but NOT where strict ISO26262 compliance is required.

As far as motor application software, C2000 is going to have much more, especially when it comes to sensorless techniques and specialized funcationality (InstaSPIN-FOC, InstaSPIN-MOTION, FAST, HFI/IPD, etc.)  The system expertise for motors is primarily in the C2000 group.

There are hundreds of MCUs that can drive a power stage to control a motor in variable speed.

I highly recommend TMS320F28069M as it supports InstaSPIN-FOC and InstaSPIN-MOTION, but it depends on other system requirements.

I installed the software that came with the kit but I do not know how to take if my controls. I also want to know if there is a library that consists of a number of macros in the form of blocks (Clarke, Park, PID, Space-Vector PWM Generator, speed calculating).

and then from the installation directory run MotorWare.exe

this includes all the software and documentation required.

I installed motorware but it gives this error message:

A Java Runtine Environment (JRE) or Java Development Kit (JDK) must be available in order to run Eclipse. No Java virtual machine was found after searching the following locations:

C:\ti\MotorWare\MotorWare_1_01_00_09\eclipse\jre\bin\javaw.exe

javaw.exe in your current PATH

I installed java runtime and restart my computer but it still sent me the same error message.

I put it in the same directory as motorware

Albert, as a couple ideas, make sure this file exists on your computer:
C:\ti\MotorWare\MotorWare_1_01_00_09\eclipse\jre\bin\javaw.exe

And uninstall any older versions of Java.

I apologize if I bother you again. in fact I do not have the jre directory in the directory eclipse. I have done so I went directly to the bin directory and then copy and paste javaw the eclipse directory and voila the new message:

We didn't include the full java runtime in the MotorWare installer because it adds 85 MB. We figured most users would already have the java runtime on their PC....I am not re-thinking that decision and we will probably start including it by default with MotorWare.

I've seen a couple other people have trouble even after attempting to install from Oracle.  I think it has to do with privaliges on your PC.

Can you try installing some other packages that include Java Runtime?

I *think* this has the Java included.

If not, www.ti.com/controlsuite includes the Java runtime with install.  Can you try installing?  controlSUITE is the portal for all C2000 software and application support, and specifically for MotorWare we link to the hardware packages in controlSUITE for the motor kits, so you would eventually install it anyways most likely.
