Hello,

When using the "Direct PWM input mode" on the DRV8711, the datasheet says that the current control circuitry is still active. However, it seems that there is only one setting of current-related parameters for both output bridges. Is there any way to set the "Ichop" current to different levels for each output bridge in PWM input mode?

Arthur,

Since there is only one setting for ISGAIN and TORQUE for both the bridges, the easiest way to use two different values of R_ISENSEto get different levels of Ichop.

Thanks for the response. Is there a way to dynamically change the current limits? I'd like to set different current levels for each bridge dynamically via a microcontroller.

Hi Arthur,

I do not believe there is any simple way to dynamically adjust the current levels for each bridge independently.
